My initial agenda items include the following. Feel free to suggest additional items. 1. Find a Secretary 2. Communication/interaction with Arch. Comm. 3. Do we need an HOA accounting system? 4. New MN HOA law now in effect. How does it affect us? Some things that come to mind include: a. Fines, penalties restrictions. Would need to publish and maintain a Fine Schedule. b. Board meeting notice requirements c. Homeowner Grievance Procedures d. Driveway parking restrictions for work vehicles e. Documentation/records requirements f. Protecting personal/private information g. Revisit amendments to Covenants and Restriction document 6. Should we develop/implement JMP HOA website? 7. We are currently a “self-managed” HOA. Are new laws/requirements pushing us towards a Managed HOA? There’s a lot to think about. Good news is we don’t have to decide all at once, but it would be good to start the conversations.
